Our mission is to inspire and facilitate change in consumer habits and industry practices. NU Outreach was created to educate the public about waste and sustainability, because awareness of a problem is the first step towards tackling it.

I’m Valerie, your point of contact for our education and outreach services.

In 2016 I embarked on my own zero waste journey and on a mission to raise awareness about waste.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. I have spent 10 years in the corporate world and another 10 years working as a Teacher for Ottawa’s public school board.

As the co-founder and CEO of Ontario’s first zero waste grocery store, I am happy to share my experience and inspire and help others in their transition to a more sustainable life.

Offering

I offer dynamic and thought-provoking talks that are tailored to your audience, and are available in English and French.
