The Swag is a patented, multi-layered breathable bag that allows fruits and vegetables to breathe and hydrate, helping them to stay fresh, crisp and nutrient-rich for much longer - naturally. It is: non-toxic, machine-washable, ethically and fair trade produced and 100% natural.
It is made of 3 layers of 100% natural, unbleached, unseeded cotton materials that each have a role:
The robust outer layer prevents the water within the middle layer from drying out too quickly. The thick, absorbent middle layer holds the bulk of the moisture. It draws the water away from the fresh produce, yet allows it to hydrate as needed. The inner layer provides a dryer protection barrier. However as all three layers are permeable, they allow your fruits and veggies to breathe and stay fresher for longer.
How to use it: Slightly dampen your Swag with water and wring out any excess water. Put fresh produce in the Swag and place in crisper section of fridge. Keep your Swag damp by sprinkling water as needed. Wash every two weeks or as needed.
The long Swag is mostly used to store longer vegetables such as; celery, spinach and leeks however you can also put fruits and veggies that aren’t long and fold it in half to make it more compact. Dimensions: 52 cm (W) X 38 cm (H) (opened up and including flap height) 52 cm x 24 cm not including the flap. Available in 3 colours: green, red and yellow.
